All Twins are Not alike...

Here are the two thermed vases side-by-side for comparison. Other than the obvious differences in wood type (cherry versus oak), the design and finishing approaches took very different directions. You could say that the Cherry vase has a sophisticated look with graceful lines and contrasting finishes. The Oak vase, on the other hand, shouts out color and bold designs – not unlike a child of Aquarius from the 70s or maybe an ancient relic from the Southwestern Indian tribes. All differences aside, their origins are noticeably similar. After all, they were created on the same therming rig!
Thanks Harold. Here's a YouTube link to a video I posted recently on 'Therming a Stool'. The process is the same I used for these vases, but you can see that the shapes are different. Hope this helps to explain the process.
